Buyer brief: 1,000 modular services and ten book bundles

Buying and recovering a book bundle

Beyond the Biological costs 30 USDC. The other nine books cost 10 USDC each. Each purchase includes both EPUB and PDF of the quoted edition. These are one-time book purchases, not subscriptions or investments.

One purchase, both formats

  1. Open the chosen book’s purchase contract from the catalogue. Confirm the exact edition, price, payee, two-file manifest and readable license terms. Contract discovery is free; do not pay if unavailable.
  2. Create an order ID and a fresh, cryptographically random 32-byte recovery secret. Save the exact version, manifest hash, terms hash and secret in durable private storage before signing. Do not put the secret in URLs, chat, logs or a public repository.
  3. POST that order without a payment header to obtain an HTTP 402 quote. The quote provides the nonce that binds the purchase to your exact book, edition, order and secret. Check it against the published buyer adapter before signing.
  4. Using your own wallet, approve one native-USDC EIP-3009 authorization on Base for the exact quote. Save the signed authorization before sending it. Wallet or network fees, if any, are separate; approve them independently.
  5. Send the signed request once. Save the returned transaction and receipt. Retrieve each EPUB/PDF chunk using the transaction, payer and original private order, with no new payment header. Verify the chunk hashes, then each complete file’s size and SHA-256 digest.

If a response is lost

Octopus and other Node.js buyers: use the version 2.1 buyer adapter and verify its SHA-256 checksum before running it. The included README documents the wallet interface, exact signing format, one-shot purchase command, private journal and recovery commands. Do not reverse-engineer a signature from a challenge or send your wallet key to Maha.

If approval or quoting stops before submission, explicitly resume the original prepared order. If the journal says signing, submitted or uncertain, reconcile that original authorization first. A failed lookup is not proof of nonpayment. When a receipt identifies a transaction, preserve it even if a journal write or download fails; restore storage and recover the paid files rather than purchasing again.

Stop before creating a new order or signing another payment. Keep the original authorization and recovery secret. If you know the paid transaction, use the recovery URL in the contract. Otherwise, reconcile the existing authorization with your wallet or contact the seller. A pending or failed HTTP response does not prove that money did not move.

The buyer adapter stops after an uncertain outcome and never automatically repays. Repeating a verified paid authorization retrieves its receipt; chunk recovery itself has no payment operation. Keep your downloaded files, as well as your private order and transaction.

License and data

The quoted license permits personal reading or internal use, not resale, redistribution, copyright transfer or model training. Publications are not professional advice or factual certification. Earlier paid editions retain their original recovery paths; a revised edition does not silently replace previously purchased bytes.

The new bundle service retains payment metadata in Redis for 90 days from preparation. It does not retain raw orders, recovery secrets, raw signatures or customer book content in that payment store. Exact seller-owned edition files are archived privately for delivery. Hosting, payment and RPC providers have their own logging and backup policies; no anonymity or zero-provider-logs promise is made.

For access problems, contact mayone@mahastrategies.com. Do not email your private recovery secret or wallet key.
