Working definition
Responsible biocomputing governance begins before acquisition of biological material and continues through culture, interface, experimentation, data use, communication, sharing, storage, and disposal. Oversight must address informed consent and future use, donor privacy, human-cell provenance, biosafety, animal use, dual-use risk, uncertain moral status, commercial incentives, and non-sensational communication.
