Review a robot change against its exact evidence revision
Approve a defined change for a defined scope. A green regression test or an old review should not automatically authorize a new controller, environment or use.
Evidence and interpretation
REP 2004 provides software change-control context. Maha’s proposed robotics approval packet binds the change description, configuration delta, regression evidence and unresolved risks. Identify which conditions were held fixed and which changed. Where a test result is inherited, explain why it still applies. A reviewer’s decision must name the evidence revision it examined. If the packet changes afterward, retain the earlier decision as history rather than moving it to the new revision.
Proposed evidence workflow
- Freeze the proposed change and list affected components, tasks and assumptions.
- Compare old and new evidence, including failures, assistance and excluded conditions.
- Record the authorized scope and responsible decision maker separately from automated checks.
Worked illustration
The toy search controller improves one obstacle case while still failing the grasp and budget cases. A local software-review decision can accept the fixture change without making any claim about physical deployment. Hardware approval remains outside that decision.
Limits
No production-release authority or safety approval is implemented by this article. Maha’s robotics tranche remains local.
